Please allow me to introduce myself. My name is Marius Slyzius and I work for ScimoreDB. We are a small company of 2 guys: me and Thomas Hilbert Madsen, and both live in Denmark.
We have developed distributed database for clouds and would like to introduce ourselves for the evaluation. A short howto can be read at: http://www.scimore.com/wiki
Our primary product is a distributed, elastic, fault tolerant SQL database “Scimoredb Distributed v.4″. In short, the database supports following features:
Shared-nothing clustering,
OS:Windows and clients .NET,
ACID,
Some level of compatibility with T-SQL, makes it easier to port from SQL Server,
Tree execution (should scale to 1024 nodes),
Dynamic 2PC,
Query prioritization & throttling
MVCC, row/table level locking,
Group commit,
Free text search (lucene),
Stored procedures,
Backup/restore,…
We did some performance comparisons with SQL Server, where ScimoreDB was in average 10% slower than SQL Server on a single machine. After adding more machines to ScimoreDB cluster, the performance was better than SQL Server.
